A leading manufacturer of innovative protein bars located in the City of Industry is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Planner.
Position Objective: As the Maintenance Planner, you will play an essential role in supporting the CMMS Coordinator and our maintenance department ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This multifaceted role combines hands-on technical work with coordination responsibilities, offering a unique chance to gain valuable experience in maintenance operations, continuous improvement processes, team coordination, and maintaining production equipment efficiencies, safety, quality, and cost.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders, and close upon completion
- Maintain spare parts inventory, including tracking stock levels and reordering as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals and maintenance logs
- Comply with area Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Assurance Parameters (QAPs), Good Manufacturing Process (GMPs) Procedures, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Standards. Be knowledgeable in all required Quality Assurance checks and in HACCP related items.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager and CMMS Coordinator on the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations
- Serve as liaison between maintenance department and operations
- Interact with external vendors and contractors, coordinating their work with maintenance team and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety protocols and guidelines. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly
- Communicate and follow food safety commitment practice
- Participate in training programs and on-the-job learning opportunities to expand your knowledge of maintenance processes and procedures
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager

- Computer skills relating to CMMS and MS Office suite
- Possess and demonstrate Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Management knowledge and have a strong grasp of cost drivers, vendor choices, planning, scheduling
- Ability to work out of multiple facilities: Monterey Park and City of Industry

- Ability to adjust shift schedule to account for unexpected emergency work
- Naturally strive for continuous improvements in all areas of responsibility and keep current with technological advancements
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality, work effectively in a team environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures
- Able to lift and carry up to 30lbs consistently and up to 57lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand 100% of the time
- Push/Pull, bending/twisting frequently
- Knowledge of red-zone a plus
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to shellfish, crustaceans, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, whey, sesame without incident
