Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide network support, including firewall and cloud infrastructure management.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues with a structured troubleshooting approach.
- Analyze technical challenges, implement solutions, and document processes.
- Enhance network architecture to improve stability and efficiency.
- Partner with key stakeholders to drive resolutions and contribute to strategic planning.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain clear communication with leadership through reports and updates.
- Document network incidents and operational activities for tracking and improvement.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies to enhance overall network performance.
This is a six-month contract-to-hire position based in the metro Atlanta area. Hybrid work is available after an initial on-site period.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 7 years of experience in network configuration, routing, switching, and security.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as STP, HSRP, Nexus vPC, LACP, and VPN (IPSEC/SSL).
- Expertise in routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP).
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, and Meraki (firewalls, switching, wireless, security).
- Deep understanding of Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN, including clientless VPN.
- Experience configuring cloud network environments, including security policies, VPNs, and routing.
- Familiarity with authentication methods (LDAP, Radius, Okta).
- Proficiency in DNS management, security, and threat mitigation.
- Background in service provider or enterprise network operations.
- Experience with data center or enterprise network architecture (physical and virtual).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Consultative approach with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
