You will be tasked with mitigating supply risk, ensuring timely delivery of materials & services while continuously focusing on reducing total cost of ownership, and maintaining product / service quality & specifications required by using groups. You will be responsible for assisting or leading purchases of assigned material items and/or services for the organization. You will manage both short-term and tactical requirements as well as arrange long term supply agreements at the lowest overall total cost of ownership consistent with quality, delivery and service requirements.
This is a 4-month contract (potential to extend or convert to perm) in Midtown Atlanta.
This is a hybrid role: 2 days/week in-office & 3 days/week remote.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mitigate supply risk, ensure timely delivery of materials and services while continuously focusing on reducing total cost of ownership and maintaining product / service quality and specifications required by using groups
- Places orders for assigned items using current price records, purchase agreements and by means of inquiry and/or price and Terms & Conditions negotiations with the most favorable suppliers
- Negotiates materials or services in excess of approval limits established by management
- Manage supply contracts
- Execute procurement functions consistent with established internal corporate policies and procedures and are in compliance with established Federal and state laws, including but not limited to the various antitrust statutes and SOX
- Help minimize corporate investment in inventories to the lowest possible levels while maintaining high levels of service to the user departments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, or similar roles
- Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet & analytical skills
- Experience in leveraging data, financial and/or Total Cost of Ownership elements in evaluation of major or long-term purchasing decisions
- Solid purchasing & negotiations experience
- Strong interpersonal & leadership skills
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- Proven experience as a thought leader & in leading change to drive improvements
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Experience working on data-intensive projects

Salary : $40 - $50
