Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team here at Visionary Solutions. This position will work closely with our Procurement team, Senior Engineers and Program Managers to provide supply chain management support across various contracts. 

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for providing logistical support and coordination for our contracts to ensure program objectives and customer needs are met. You will ensure execution and continuous improvement for logistics processes and control the flow of materials and equipment to meet our customer’s goals while staying within project parameters. The ideal candidate will have experience planning, coordinating and executing orders from the point of origin to delivery. 

• Responsible for inventory management, material handling and order fulfillment, transportation, and coordinating the full order cycle for assigned programs. 
• Resolves supply sustainment shortfalls due to low demands or surge in requirements.
• Ensure the application of technical standards and specifications, comply with internal policies and procedures in addition to maintaining compliance with any relevant laws and regulations pertaining to supply chain management.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory data, reduce costs, estimate lead times and promote visibility throughout the lifecycle of a purchase. 
• Recommend appropriate alternatives to address deficiencies and monitor the development and progress of numerous project plans. 
• Perform routine audits and physical inventory checks to verify asset accuracy and identify any discrepancies. 
• Manage and delegate all purchase orders and inventory management issues to team members and customers, ensuring all programs have the appropriate resources and equipment.
• Oversee the transfers, adjustments, issues, returns and receipts on all equipment, materials and property assigned to a program. 
• Must be able to keep detailed records of material and product information.  
• Demonstrated ability to approach job responsibilities with a focus on process improvement.
• Able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management and mentor junior personnel. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field required; additional work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree; Advance degree preferred/desired. 
• Five (5) years or more of experience in logistics/supply chain or related areas required. 
• Three (3) years or more of management experience, overseeing and leading a team of individuals ensuring productivity and efficiency. 
• Ability to multitask in a fast past environment, being adaptable when issues arise and establish an effective solution.  
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, team members, senior management, and potential future partnerships; ensuring positive relationships are established and maintained.
• Must be able to obtain and/or maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Physical Requirements:

The work is performed in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. The individual will be required to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time and alternate between different stationary positions. The individual must also be able to move about the office at times. This position requires the ability to communicate frequently. This position may occasionally require the ability to ascend stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, lift light to medium objects, view and operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment and to withstand moderate noise and temperatures. 

This position does require travel between various customer sites, in addition to travel for network installations, customer meetings, and other government and/or contractual needs.
