We are looking for an Optometric Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include assisting optometrists with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of optometry and be able to effectively communicate with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Answering phones, patient scheduling
- Checking patient insurance eligibilty, filing insurance claims
- Assist the optometrist in providing patient care.
- Perform vision tests and other diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and use of eyewear.
- Assist with contact lens fittings and adjustments.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 -2 years working in an Optometric practice
- Basic knowledge of ophthlamic equipment
Language:
- Fluent English and Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
