We're excited to announce an opening for a Part-Time Resource Development Assistant at our Portland, OR location. The purpose of the position is to provide administrative support for the organization’s resource development program including gift entry and acknowledgement, event logistics coordination, and grant and individual fundraising proposals. Employees must be committed to the organization’s mission to honor eye donors by advancing sight for all humankind. This position works closely with the Resource Development Director for day-to-day direction of activities.
Pay range: $20/hour-$25/hour.
**Must have valid drivers license
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Three years of prior experience preferred.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Execute direct mail appeals
- Write and mail acknowledgement letters
- Send Welcome Packet and other Stewardship Plan communications
- Acknowledge successful grant proposals
- Submit reports as required by funders
- Track foundation deadlines and priorities
- Keep database updated with contributor information, gift information and more
- Update Guidestar, Charity Navigator
- Stay informed about database updates and trainings
- Procure auction items, manage communications for events
- Coordinate with event vendors and execute logistics
- Coordinate day-of logistics including volunteer management
