Visit Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is seeking an experienced, part-time (15-20 hours / week) Accountant / Bookkeeper to monitor and manage day-to-day accounting activities. This position will play a significant role in the financial operations of this quasi-government organization. This is a hybrid position located in Annapolis, Maryland.
Successful candidates for the position will :
- Manage and monitor the organization’s day-to-day accounting responsibilities in Quickbooks Online, including AP, AR, expense reports, budget tracking and other GL accounting functions, in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure adherence to financial controls to deliver the highest level of transparency and stewardship of funds and resources
- Assist in the conversion to a new accounting system (Netsuite)
- In collaboration with the Director of Finance, assist in tracking of state and federal grants to ensure full compliance and accurate reporting
- Produce ad-hoc analysis, research, and reports
- Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
