VISIT FLORIDA shares Florida sunshine with the world. As the state’s official tourism marketing organization, VISIT FLORIDA has been charged with selling an extraordinary vacation product since 1996. As part of our Information Technology team, we’re seeking to fill our Help Desk Support Technician position.
This position is located within our corporate office in Tallahassee, FL.

Core Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve employee hardware and software issues. Diagnose problems, replace, repair, upgrade, or re-install assets when needed. Help orient new employees, training and providing guidance with IT systems.
- Manage IT work order system, assigning work orders within the IT department depending on areas of responsibility.
- Serve as lead for the Anti-virus and mobile device management programs. Install applications and updates. Maintain current VISIT FLORIDA endpoints including mobile devices, laptops, desktops, and other at-risk devices.
- Maintain remote software and meeting platforms. Provide support of video conferencing platform for staffing, training, and executive meetings. Review and respond to appropriate network logs to include FW, Backup, Security, Cameras, and Access Logs.
- Administer inventory process. Maintain records of VISIT FLORIDA assets, software licensure, sales materials, and promotional products. Track and maintain current inventory and provide audit support for Accounting Department when needed.
- Maintain the warehouse area and facilities, equipment, and supply inventory, including receiving and shipping sales materials and promotional products. Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience troubleshooting and resolving network computers, hardware, and software issues
- Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with other staff of varying technical backgrounds
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Position requires some travel to offsite warehouse. Valid driver's license and required insurance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field
