Job Title: Special Events Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Logistics Coordinator to manage the logistics of an upcoming in-person event.
About Visit:
Visit is a platform that helps companies discover and book social impact team experiences led by and benefiting local nonprofits.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate event details, ship materials, and arrange staffing for each event
- Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit organizations, and Visit teams
- Take ownership of in-person events: set up, align with onsite teams, tear down, clean site areas, problem-solve, and ensure high-quality customer experience
- Represent Visit as a leader and problem-solver at events
- Align roles and responsibilities with onsite teams
- Manage check-in processes, provide a warm welcome to guests, and problem-solve issues
- Send updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and strong communication skills
- Located in Hamburg, NJ, with schedule flexibility and availability to work on a contract per-event basis
- Experience in complex, large-scale events and smaller executive-level intimate events
- Strong resourcefulness, ability to exhibit grace under pressure, and be solutions-minded in ambiguous situations
- Quick thinking and ability to problem-solve on the fly
- Self-starter who is organized and detail-oriented
Physical Demands:
- Able to lift, slide, and carry up to 30lbs
- Able to stand for an extended period of time
About the Role:
This is an on-location, in-person, per-event contract role in Hamburg, NJ.
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
