Description
Visitation School is seeking a passionate and qualified K through 8th Grade Art teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 24-25 school year. This position inspires and educates students in the visual arts, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. This role involves teaching art principles, techniques, and history while encouraging students to explore and develop their artistic talents.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and school curriculum.
- Teach various art disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and art history.
- Integrate Catholic values and themes into art lessons, reinforcing the school’s mission.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Integrate technology and contemporary art practices into the classroom.
- Supervise students in before school, after school or lunch duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
State teaching certification
- Strong knowledge of art techniques, materials, and history.
- Proficiency in traditional and digital art tools and software.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with a passion for the arts.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
