Job Summary
The RN Intake Coordinator plays a vital role at Visiting Angels, serving as the first point of in person contact for clients and their families. This position is responsible for managing the intake process, including a in home safety evaluation, client nurse assessment, writing care plan for caregivers and documenting in our electronic record. The Intake Coordinator will work closely with Supervising RN and scheduler to facilitate patient care and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience with seniors in an outpatient settings.
Duties
- Conduct initial patient assessments and gather comprehensive information for nurse care plan and caregiver task list.
- Make sure all initial client paperwork is signed.
- Electronic documentation completion
- Ensure all documentation complies with HIPAA standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families throughout the intake process including answer all questions they may have.
- Set up appointments to complete intake
Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in outpatient care
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule and ability to meet with new clients within 48 hours of request from office
Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 4 per week
