The Family Health Center of VNA-Community Services, Inc. is a growing community-based healthcare center that provides high-quality health and wellness care to underserved children and adults in Eastern Montgomery County and surrounding communities.
We seek a friendly, compassionate, and organized individual to join our team as a front desk receptionist for our busy practice. As the front desk team member, you will serve as our patients’ first point of contact and be responsible for checking patients in/out, appointment scheduling, patient outreach, insurance verification and other administrative office duties. Experience with EHR is preferred. Candidate must be reliable, coach-able, a quick learner, and driven by serving.

Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma Required
Medical Assistant Experience or Associates Degree Preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Creates a welcoming atmosphere by greeting visitors and patients to the office
- Schedules patient visits through incoming calls and though outreach calls
- Checks in/out patients in a timely, friendly manner and collect copays as applicable
- Processing credit card payments
- Comforts patients by answering any questions
- Maintains patient's accounts by verifying insurance and updating information as needed
- Keeps providers, medical assistants, and any other related staff abreast of scheduling, patient details, and potential service delays
- Protects patients' right of confidentiality; familiarity with HIPAA preferred
- Scanning patient information into EMR system
- Utilize EHR skills to arrive patients in the system, update all demographics and Insurance information.
- Orders clinic and office supplies
- Use judgment and problem-solving skills
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Experience:
- 1 year of experience working in a medical office preferred
Specialized Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
- High level of professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
