Key Responsibilities - Hospice Nurse Educator
- Develop and lead hospice orientation, clinical training, and ongoing education for nursing and clinical staff
- Collaborate with managers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure training aligns with regulatory standards and best practices
- Conduct skills labs, field assessments, and preceptor training to support staff development and mentorship
- Track training completion, competencies, and CE programs to ensure compliance
- Serve as a clinical resource, support ANCC Nurse Planner duties, and mentor students in practicum placements
- Maintain updated educational content, class schedules, and patient education materials
- Support quality initiatives, certification attainment, and contribute to clinical excellence through active committee involvement
- Assist with CPR training, vaccine clinics, and employee health needs
- Foster a culture of learning, professionalism, and compassionate hospice care
- BSN required; Master’s degree preferred
- 3 years of hospice experience preferred
- 3 years of experience as a Clinical Educator preferred
- Knowledge of hospice regulations and standards preferred
- Familiarity with HomeCare HomeBase/PointCare a plus
- Excellent teaching and computer skills
- Strong organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
