Job Overview

The Visiting Nurse Association of SEMO is actively seeking dedicated and empathetic In-Home Care Aides to join our team. As a valued member of our organization, you will provide essential personal care, non-nursing services, and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. We are looking for candidates who have relevant caregiving experience and can provide strong references from previous employers.

Key Responsibilities

As an In-Home Care Aide, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Adhering to the prescribed care plan.
• Performing light housekeeping duties, such as making beds, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following skills:

• Strong communication and listening abilities.
• A compassionate, patient, and caring demeanor.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Physical and mental fitness to meet the demands of caregiving.
• Capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in personal caregiving, either in a private home or facility.
• A valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
• Personal transportation is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass all required background checks and a drug test.
• A working telephone and voicemail are necessary.
