Job Overview
As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide specialized, one-on-one nursing care to patients in the comfort of their homes, addressing unique healthcare needs through continuous care of up to 16 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized, one-on-one patient care and support
- Perform vital signs monitoring and comprehensive physical assessments
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions and care plans
- Provide care for G-tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators as necessary
- Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and vital sign evaluations
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Experience with G-tubes, trach, and vent care is advantageous but not a prerequisite
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory
