VNA Home Care is currently accepting applications for a full-time Review Nurse. Qualified applicants must be an Indiana licensed Registered Nurse. Previous review experience is required. Prior home health or hospice preferred. Applicant should be self-directed, have demonstrated communication skills, and attention to detail as well as computer documentation experience.

Essential Job Duties
1. Consults and monitors outsourced coding practices to ensure charts are coded timely and accurately.
2. Audits all admission assessments, including those with OASIS documentation for accuracy.
3. Exports OASIS assessments in a timely manner.
4. Processes all orders and Plan of Care (POC) to be sent to physicians.
5. Completes transfers/transfer OASIS and communications for all patients requiring transfer after checking with appropriate facility for status of patient.
6. Audits/Review all OASIS documentation for accuracy and timeliness.
7. Participates in reviews of insurance records as needed.
8. Assists with ADR and record appeal work as needed.
9. Reviews episodes from initial visit to end of the episode as needed.
10. Case conference with professional staff to clarify in documentation and facilitates resolution of any discrepancies.

Experience:
- home health: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- OASIS certification (Preferred)
- RN License (Required)
