About the Role:
The RN Preceptor position is an exciting new leadership opportunity at {company}. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to lead our educational program and promote professional growth within the agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Staff Education: Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical staff education and training programs for VNSW clinical staff.
- Initial Clinical Orientation: Plan and conduct initial clinical orientation and field-based training for graduate nurse residents and ongoing staff development programs.
- Clinical Skills Development: Promote the development of clinical skills to meet the needs of the agency and patients.
- Field Competencies: Conduct field competencies of staff on orientation, graduate nurse residents, and assist the Clinical Manager with field competencies as part of remediation and/or performance improvement plans.
- Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve care delivery and participate in quality improvement activities as appropriate.
Requirements:
- NYS Professional License and current registration to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse.
- Minimum Five years of experience as an RN in a Certified Home Health Agency;
- Must possess content knowledge and technical skills in homecare.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience as clinical instructor/preceptor for a nursing program for at least 3 years.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize a variety of teaching methods.
- Exhibits professional integrity and core values of VNSW.
- Adheres to professional Code of Ethics;
- CPR Certification.
- Professional Liability in the amount of $1,000,000.
- OASIS certification within one year of accepting the position.
- Automobile in good working order and auto insurance in the amount specified by VNSW.
- Valid driver's license.
- Competent with a home health EMR, knowledge of Home Care Home base is preferred.
