The System Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining VMware, Windows, and Linux server environments to ensure a secure and high-availability infrastructure. This includes provisioning and decommissioning servers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee on-premises and Azure Active Directory, including user, group, and printer management, as well as user permissions.
- Handle daily operations of core infrastructure and platforms, including servers, video, data, and voice systems.
- Implement and maintain backup and redundancy strategies for infrastructure.
- Administer the Office 365 platform, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams sites.
- Manage the company's mobile device environment across Apple, Android, and Windows OS.
- Respond to and resolve complex, escalated incidents and requests.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the infrastructure environment.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure smooth and efficient project implementations.
- Manage software and hardware licensing contracts.
- Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring they are delivered within scope, budget, and adhere to company governance processes.
- Proactively research and implement new technologies and vendors to enhance stability and support business processes.
- Mentor IT support staff, providing guidance and hands-on training while promoting excellent customer service, high-quality work, and efficient problem-solving standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of networking and distributed computing environment concepts.
- Experience with Windows Server management, including DNS, DHCP, Terminal Services, File Servers, Print Management, and Group Policy.
- Strong understanding of routing, firewalls, and client/server applications.
- Solid experience with physical and virtual servers (VMware), and operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Proven administration experience with Microsoft products, including on-premises and Azure Active Directory, Azure Privileged Identity Management (PIM), MFA, and Microsoft Intune.
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work within a team and provide leadership in the design, deployment, and support of infrastructure systems.
- Familiarity with shell and kernel-level programming and system-specific requirements.
Candidate Preferences:
- Knowledge of scripting and automation.
- Proficiency in creating and updating process procedures.
- Experience in providing leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
