What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Vista Capital Management Group?
We are looking for a responsible candidate to maintain and protect our facilities. The external appearance of a community reflects on the occupants. It is important for a grounds person to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on community upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in grounds maintenance jobs. This position will require travel between 3 properties so candidates must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure grounds are clean and clear of debris including along perimeter fence, retention ponds, dumpsters, parking lots and buildings.
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets in amenities
- Maintain outer premises by watering plants and cleaning entrances
- Report minor and major damages
- Repair minor exterior items such as fence pickets, leaking faucets
- Skills
- Proven experience as ground person or in a similar role
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Very good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
