Job Summary:
Vista Care is looking for an accountant to support the Controller and other members of the accounting team with day to day operations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional organizational and time management skills. Responsibilities will include maintaining daily general ledger activity, assist with accounts payable and receivable duties, and provide support to accounting personnel. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
The Accountant role will have a considerable level of diverse responsibilities. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks in all accounting functions
- Ensures the integrity of financial information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering various transactions of the accounting cycle
- Assist in monthly closing of financials with reconciliation analysis
- Assist with reports on financial variances and trends
- Provides analysis and information for monthly reviews and year end audits
- Provide cash flow analysis
- Manages processes, utilizing financial software, developing standards, audits, accounting/corporate finance, tracking budget expenses, budget and forecasting development, analyzing information and performance management
- Backup to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable specialist
- Maintain working knowledge of GAAP compliance
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Qualifications and Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 1-2 years of equivalent work experience (accounting or finance)
- Perform work accurately under tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate work flow
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Willingness to assist other and work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- NetSuite experience a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Physical Requirements – Requires repetitive manual and finger dexterity and eye- hand coordination; requires the ability to use all office equipment. Must be able to remain awake and alert for the duration of each shift, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, twist, sit, and walk for periods of time.
- Visual, hearing, and communication requirements – Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with all staff, other professionals, and individuals. Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in English.
