Director, Credit Operations

Position Summary

Vista is seeking to hire a Director of Operations for the Operations team of Vista’s credit platform, Vista Credit Partners (“VCP”).  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organization, working with multiple constituencies across the firm as VCP continues to scale and increase its presence in the highly attractive enterprise software and technology market. VCP is seeking a candidate that has a strong loan operations and deal execution background within both private and public credit.

This role will be an integral member of the VCP team and support all of VCP’s strategies including private credit, syndicated loans, agencies/participations, distressed and structured investments across multiple structures including draw down funds and SMAs, BDC and CLOs.  The Senior Loan Closer/Operations Manager will manage the entire deal execution process.

Ideal candidates are analytical and process-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills and have experience managing multiple workflows and working across multiple internal and external constituencies.  Additionally, they take initiative, can multi-task with extreme attention to details, and exhibit an ability to think outside the box with a focus on problem solving.  It is critical that this candidate is comfortable owning certain processes.  The candidate must have a collaborative mindset and bring a positive attitude to the organization.

Ideally, this person will be located in New York, New York.

Responsibilities

• Primary point person in deal execution process for all investment originations through coordination with Investment Team, Capital Markets, Legal, Compliance, Fund Management, Finance and various third parties including sponsors, borrowers and loan agents
• Aggregate finalized allocations from Fund Management and provide to third party agents
• Work with Fund Management and Finance teams to ensure there is sufficient cash in each lender of record account in advance of funding
• Provide necessary KYC to third party agents for deal closings
• Lead onboarding process for new investments with outsourced sub-agency provider where VCP is acting as the administrative agent
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of investment funds flow including fund-level allocations, fees, expenses and net proceeds to borrower and other counterparties
  • Review and approve funding notices before they are release by the sub-agent to the lender group
  • Oversee the wiring instruction callback process as necessary
• Key team member involved in other operational related duties including but not limited to trade bookings, issuer and asset setup with VCP security master, reconciliations, data management, systems integration and technology initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Must have experience in private credit deal execution
• Preferred exposure to multiple credit instruments, including loans, bonds, TRS, CDS and private placements across both the private and syndicated markets
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must thrive in team environments requiring deep collaboration across multiple constituencies
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience
