Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Staff Development Coordinator to join our senior living community team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and conducting staff training programs to ensure that our healthcare team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage clinical staff training programs to improve the skills and knowledge of our healthcare team.
- Assess staff development needs and create customized training plans to meet those needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure training programs align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Utilize various teaching methods such as classroom instruction, online training, and hands-on training to deliver training to staff.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, job aids, and other instructional materials.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions and maintain accurate records of staff attendance and training completion.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding staff training and development.
- Participate in staff meetings and other committees to share information and improve communication across departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field required
- Active nursing license in the state of Michigan
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in staff development or related role.
- Experience in a long-term care or senior living environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to staff development and training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
