OVERVIEW
Vistant is currently seeking a senior-level project manager in support of a proposal effort with a federal government client partner. The selected candidate will serve as a senior consultant/advisor to the client partner's chief of the Project Management Office (PMO), and agency PMO staff, with responsibility for aiding in the management a moderate- to high-risk project (composed of either a single project or a coordinated effort of multiple related projects with a common technical or customer objective).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and managing the actions taken by the PMO to acquire and execute a specific piece of business for the Financial Management Division (FMD), either competitively or non-competitively.
- Aids in the planning and implementing actions by an integrated project team to define baseline project scope and quality requirements for project products and services.
- Manages project cost, scope, and schedule, and serves as a project interface between the FMD and its customer(s).
- Participates in the planning, organizing, directing, executing, monitoring, and controlling all aspects of the project, including technology, scope, schedule, cost, communications, and customer satisfaction.
- Interfaces with other project managers, task and functional leads, other contractors, support personnel, and other project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- 15 years, or equivalent education and experience, which entails leading or supporting complex and large-scale projects, to include those with financial investments greater than $100M.
- Viable candidates must live within reasonable daily commuting distance of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
- Ability to pass a federal security clearance investigation up to and including at the [Secret] level.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
- Intermediate- to advanced-level user proficiency in Microsoft Project is required.
