Vistra is searching for a Joint Operations Center (JOC) Process Engineer to support the United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) Joint Operations Center (JOC) and Special Programs. The primary objective is to ensure operational readiness and enhance mission effectiveness through the optimization of existing mission critical systems. Working within a dynamic environment focused on Global Cyberspace Operations missions, you will be part of a team for providing professional services aimed at enabling situational awareness, collaboration, coordination, and Command and Control (C2) capabilities.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a JOC Process Engineer, you will conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
The ideal candidate will provide readiness analysis as follows:
- Improving and refining processes within operations centers
- Integrating new capabilities and tools into operation center processes
- Staffing documentation and reviewing and updating procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing systems and processes within the Joint Operations Center to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational processes, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness of the JOC.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to support JOC operations, recommending and integrating those that align with mission requirements and operational objectives.
- Lead initiatives for continuous process improvement, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability within the JOC environment.
- Collaborate with personnel from various departments and agencies to ensure seamless integration of processes and systems across the JOC and other operational entities.
- Develop training materials and provide guidance to JOC personnel on new processes, tools, and technologies to facilitate effective implementation and adoption.
- Establish metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of operational processes and systems, implementing corrective actions as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with process changes or system implementations to minimize disruptions to JOC operations and mission readiness.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations, and provide regular reports to leadership on process improvement initiatives and outcomes.
- Assist in developing contingency plans and procedures for emergency situations, ensuring the JOC is prepared to respond effectively to unforeseen events or crises.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Security Clearance: TS/SCI/CI Poly
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business discipline, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the identified area of expertise providing support in a cyber-operations center to include:
- Providing document Operational and Strategic level processes across operation center functional cells.
- Demonstrated Experience in the following areas:
- Improving and refining processes within operations centers.
- Integrating new capabilities and tools into operation center processes.
- Staffing documentation and reviewing and updating procedures.
- Requirements collection.
- coordinating across combatant commands and externally with mission partners.
