We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Manager of Corporate Pre-sales - Global Tax & Statutory Accounting Compliance & Advisory (TSAS) Reporting to the Global Director, Tax & Statutory Accounting Solutions, this full-time and permanent position can be based anywhere in the USA and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Product and Commercial team and it’s growth. .
Purpose of Role
Responsible for providing adept product and service expertise to assist with closing new TSAS business negotiations. TSAS Pre-sales will ensure Vistra’s TSAS solutions are easily understood by internal and external stakeholders, resulting in defined scopes, a ‘local TSAS voice’, and a high % of closed TSAS deals in partnership with the TSAS EBD.
Scope
Works with Enterprise Business Developers and Enterprise Account Managers to assist with closing TSAS deals. Collaborates with Pricing and designated Solution Director, to ensure pricing, forecasting and growth goals are set properly. Works closely with designated Solutions Director, to develop & implement the pre-sales offer. Also works with other pre-sales colleagues to set best practice and develop a consistent pre-sales service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serves as TSAS subject matter expert and advocate for assigned Vistra TSAS solutions and products, supporting sellers’ strategy with intent to maximize sales as a resource for both the customer and account manager
- Assists Business Developers and Enterprise Account Managers with persuasion and negotiation, providing expert recommendations that best support prospect needs while driving Vistra / seller strategy
- Tailors messaging as required towards various customer groups, to facilitate detailed understanding of Vistra’s TSAS value proposition
- Maintains a comprehensive view of the competitive landscape to effectively position Vistra against its competitors
- Develops an understanding on where cross-sell / up-sell opportunities are to help TSAS grow their book of business; proactively reaching out to sellers to help identify opportunities
- Develops a deep understanding of customer needs in order to deliver TSAS solution-based selling that addresses customer needs and pain points
- Builds and monitors Vistra product management cadence and methodology to identify, develop, launch and manage products
- Establishes cadence with Solution Directors and Commercial Technology to ensure alignment on milestones
- Identifies the top 1-2 priorities for each TSAS product for elevated reviews during team update calls
- Collaborates with Pricing and Solution Directors to ensure pricing, forecasting and growth goals are set properly
- Work with Solution Directors to resolve product / solution / country budgeting conflicts
- Focused on delivering against Vistra ACV goals
Attributes/ Technical Skills
Essential:
- Solution focussed with the ability to respond to customer need
- Strong technical skills within global Corporate Income Tax. Indirect Tax (VAT/GST) and Statutory Accounting
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and develop strong relationships
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely to customers
- Strong analytical and competitor analysis skills
Desirable:
- Global / multi-country experience
Relevant Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a Pre-sales or commercial roles within TSAS corporate services
Desirable:
- Previous experience within designated pre-sales Tax and Statutory Accounting
Education and Professional Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or validated network within the industry with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Desirable – accounting, tax or legal qualification
