Title: Receiving Quality Inspector – Sterling Heights, MI
Job Description: A detail oriented and organized individual to join our company as a Receiving Quality Inspector in our Quality Department. This is a full-time position. The Receiving Quality Inspector is responsible for the incoming inspection of aerospace engine parts and components. The Inspector will also maintain the proper documentation for all material that will affect the final product of the parts/components. The Inspector must comply with customer requirements and inspection methods.

Schedule: 6:30am - 3:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Inspection includes visual and dimensional using required gaging and measuring equipment
- Measure various features and holes on a part or component and determine if the part is acceptable to customer requirements
- Maintain Certificate of Conformance documents and inspection sheets from supply base.
- Interpret operation sheets and blue prints to understand customer specifications
- Ensure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable part
- If a part is defective or needs re-work, Inspector must complete required paperwork associated with this task
- Ensures adherence to applicable VECCO (Vital Engineered Component Company) internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; 2 years of inspection experience in an aerospace industry or general manufacturing environment
- Strong preference for aerospace experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment is critical
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints or technical procedures
- Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes and other measuring tools
- Willingness to get the job done
- Strong attention to detail – accuracy
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
