Senior Systems Diagnostics Engineer (JR)

Job Summary

The Senior Systems Diagnostics Engineer will support the Systems Engineering team in evaluating design changes and modifications for diagnostics implications, recommending improvements, and developing diagnostic and testability strategies for complex weapons systems. The role involves collaboration with reliability and design engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers, with a focus on enhancing system performance and ensuring supportability designs. The position offers a 9/80 schedule, hybrid remote work, and competitive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across functional teams to optimize diagnostics and testability designs using model-based techniques.
• Develop diagnostics and troubleshooting strategies, testing, and analysis methods for complex problems.
• Interface with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to integrate diagnostics and testability solutions at the system level.
• Provide cost-effective capabilities to detect and isolate faults in systems and equipment.
• Conduct design reviews and support verification and validation activities during fabrication, assembly, and test.
• Prepare presentation materials for senior management and internal/external customers.
• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and costs to ensure successful execution.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 8 years of related experience.
• Familiarity with testability program activities as defined by MIL-HDBK-2165.
• Experience managing small teams, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proficiency in system architecture development and diagnostics modeling tools such as eXpress and Cameo.
• Knowledge of software development, testing activities, programming languages, and fault tree analysis.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and logic diagrams.
• Experience with complex military systems.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods.
