Accounting Generalist
Our growing business is seeking a self-motivated Accounting Clerk to provide financial, administrative, and clerical services. We are looking for full-time (40 hours/week) accounting clerk. We require an individual with analytical, organizational and follow-through skills. This position is heavy data-entry.
Responsibilities
- Data entry of a high volume of payment application
- Data entry of a high volume of vendor invoices / expense reports
- Effectively work with other departments to research discrepancies and resolve matters promptly
- Respond to daily inquiries from vendors
- Working closely with our branch offices
- Work closely with the Accounting Supervisor and staff accountants to ensure all activity is entered properly
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly reports and reconciliations
- Reviewing accounts payable / accounts payable reports for accuracy
- Assist with administrative duties including filing, scanning and data-entry
- Support other areas as needed
- Must be able to quickly and effectively resolve issues that may arise
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent; Associate degree, Accounting preferred
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Previous knowledge working with AP and AR is preferred, but not required.
- Proficient in MS Office and excel, data entry
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi- task efficiently
- Outstanding work ethics
