What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Interviewer - PACE Survey Project position at Vital Research?
Vital Researchis seeking Field Interviewers to join our team as independent contractors, conducting in -person interviews with older adultsfor our PACEsurvey project, which aims to enhance participant satisfaction.
This project begins with mandatory hybrid training the week of April 7, 2025, equipping interviewers with the necessary skills and protocols. Once training is successfully completed, interviewers will travel to PACE centers across the Tri-State area to conduct surveys. Work assignments will vary based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with participants at day centers.
- Be punctual, work independently, and remain unbiased when conducting interviews.
- Keep organized records of interviews and update the Vital Research team daily (e.g., completed interviews and refusals, etc.).
- Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend customer feedback.
- Use a company-issued tablet device to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews in an atmosphere of privacy.
- Utilize personal cell phone and email address to regularly be in touch with Vital Research.
- Comply with confidentiality, and federal HIPAA regulations, and adhere to data security protocols.
- Be available between 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.during assignments (actual hours may vary).
- Travel to various PACE centers in the Tri-State area as needed.
Requirements
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (in accordance with health and safety policies).
- Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrating concern and sensitivity to issues of disability, illness, and communication challenges.
- Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate skillfully and in a timely manner via email and phone.
- Proficient with email, uploading/downloading files, Internet use, and troubleshooting possible technical glitches.
- Access to a personal computer (capable of viewing/modifying MS Excel) and reliable internet.
- Own a personal phone and be comfortable using email/text for communication.
- Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately.
- Ability to follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and federal HIPAA regulations.
- Business casual attire and professional presentation.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English (highly preferred).
- Experience with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers.
- Prior interviewing, data collection, or field research experience.
