As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
- Maintain documentation of ongoing efforts to recruit and retain volunteers
- Provide training and orientation ensuring volunteers are aware of and in agreement with their duties and responsibilities
- Assesses and maintains documentation of volunteers’ skills and competencies
- Participate as a member of the IDT, and coordinate with the other members of the IDT to ensure coordination and integration of volunteer services
- Establish a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers & the community
- Assists with developing, planning, and executing of events pertaining to the volunteer program
Skills for Success:
- Ability to lead, encourage, and work with others to reach team goals
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to establish effective relationships with patients’ families, staff, and other physicians
- Knowledgeable about hospice management and hospice volunteers preferred

Experience to Deliver on our Mission:
- High School Graduate, Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred.
- Experience in recruitment & management of hospice volunteers preferred
- Valid state driver’s license and auto liability insurance
