How You Will Make a Difference

The Volunteer Coordinator has overall responsibility for the Hospice’s Volunteer Program; including for recruiting, training, retaining and supervising volunteers. This role leads with passion, empathy and a philanthropic heart with others who are called to serve.
As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will :
- Maintain documentation of ongoing efforts to recruit and retain volunteers
- Provide training and orientation ensuring volunteers are aware of and in agreement with their duties and responsibilities
- Assesses and maintains documentation of volunteers’ skills and competencies
- Participate as a member of the IDT, and coordinate with the other members of the IDT to ensure coordination and integration of volunteer services
- Establish a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers & the community
- Assists with developing, planning, and executing of events pertaining to the volunteer program
