VitalCore Health Strategies is a leading provider of correctional healthcare services, and we are seeking a qualified Mental Health Unit Coordinator to join our team.
As a Mental Health Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of quality mental health services to patients and addressing their psychological needs. This position involves overseeing and guiding mental health professionals who provide direct care to incarcerated individuals.
You will be involved in working with all disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to attain effectiveness in serving the patient population. Your responsibilities will include acting as a point of contact for administrative staff for discussion of treatment programs and problem resolution, coordinating development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment and provision of required clinical services for inmates, supervising the planning, development and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore, providing clinical supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services, monitoring efforts of Mental Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely, professional manner, ensuring treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed, and providing administrative support to psychiatric staff.
We are seeking a licensed, master's level behavioral health clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide mental health treatment. A previous experience as a mental health clinician is also required. You must be independently licensed: LICSW or LMHC.
