VitalCore Health Strategies seeks an experienced Medical Director / Physician to lead our clinical services team at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, MA. The successful candidate will provide overall supervision for clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care to patients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sub-acute inpatient care and hospitalist medicine, with experience in managing referrals to outside healthcare facilities. They will also be responsible for sponsoring Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, representing the healthcare program in discussions with local civic groups, and participating in in-service training classes.
As a key member of our team, the Medical Director / Physician will be responsible for completing sick call, chronic care, and infirmary care as required. They will document all encounters in patient records, adhere to approved formularies, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
