Job Overview:
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing the execution of inbound and outbound shipments through a third-party logistics partner (3PL). Responsibilities also include driving continuous process, service and cost reductions within our supply chain as well as creating key reports. In addition, you will troubleshoot, analyze potential solutions, quantify potential trade-offs, and implement cross-functional processes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinating with 3PL on daily operations, managing KPI expectations, and maintaining a close relationship
- Monitor, supervise, and execute order management and fulfillment system updates
- Monitor retail/ecom order processing to ensure orders are being scheduled and delivered as quickly as possible
- Monitor, report and work with leadership to improve logistics KPIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve 3PL logistic operational and systemic issues working with management and 3PL.
- Provide direct input into the existing user tools and make recommendations for process improvements
- Identify the causes of operational weaknesses and help develop and implement the right solution
- Support the continued development and refinement of SOPs and metrics to drive continuous improvements in service, cost, and quality
- Collaborate with team to oversee annual physical inventory at warehouses as well as incremental cycles count.
- Communicate and collaborate with service providers, such as ocean carriers, freight forwarders
- Review procedures, such as distribution or inventory management, to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum cost
- Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, delivery times or delivery processes
- Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving, storage, shipping, or inventory integrity
- Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting
- Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize cost
- Compute reporting metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, order fulfillment rates, and inventory turns
Additional Responsibilities and Duties cover for Open Assoc Buyer Position:
- Support senior buyer in all procurement and inventory management job functions. Provides back up of demand planning and purchase order generation functions of senior buyer.
- Manage Microsoft AX systems accuracy related to inventory/purchasing (run reports, analyze data, and take action to correct any issues, errors
- Creation of NB and PL purchase orders. Follow up with vendors inquires on these POs.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with brokers, vendors, store operations, distribution center and division office personnel.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable on vendor account management, resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Resolves store billing questions by interfacing with distribution and store associates
- Works with National Brand vendors on purchase order management, PO discrepancies, Vendor returns/recalls and late PO communications.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree experience in logistics or supply chain is preferred
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in taking initiative and making appropriate decisions.
- Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
- Expert in Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office proficiency is required and experience in ERP systems and with EDI is preferred
- Ability to work autonomously and independently
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
