Estimated Duration : 6 months with possible extensions
Work Setting : 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work.
Required :
Availability to work 100 % of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
Business or technical writing experience (3 years);
Experience working with multiple software and graphic packages;
Experience working as an IT Business Analyst using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies (5 years);
Experience coordinating business users, technical staff, and architects to analyze and define future operation needs based on use case and analysis of alternatives;
Experience with business process design and re-engineering;
Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings;
Certification in Business Analysis from a recognized professional body, such as the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Preferred :
Experience in business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), data analysis software (e.g., Structured Query Language, Python, R, Statistical Analysis System), project management software (e.g., MS Projects, JIRA Software, Trello), and databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems;
Experience working on state or federal government projects;
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall;
Experience working with technical programming teams;
Experience with IT standards and security in a criminal justice environment;
Certifications such as the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or the PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of IT documentation;
Translate technical or complicated information into clear, concise documents for various audiences;
Work with the Development Quality Assurance and Technical Support teams to produce technical publications, including instructional materials, technical manuals, and product documentation for use by both IT and the business community;
Review, critique, and edit documentation, including design documents, programmer notes, and system overviews;
Interview subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization;
Research information such as drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications to fill any gaps;
Lead or assist in business requirement gathering sessions Joint Application Development (JAD)
