12363 – Lead Ca Gen Developer (remote option) – Tallahassee, FL
Start Date : ASAP
Type : Temporary Project
Estimated Duration : 12 months with possible extensions
Work Setting : For resources that do not reside within the Tallahassee area, 100% remote work is authorized. Selected candidate would be required to be onsite to onboard for a short period. The Client does not cover expenses (travel, food, etc.) related to onsite onboarding. Resources that reside within the Tallahassee area must work in the office – Monday through Friday.
Required :
Availability to work 2-3 days per week at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL (required);
Experience as a lead developer or development manager (7 years);
Experience working with development technologies including CA Gen, COBOL, Classic ASP, DB2 for z / OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases (2,5 years);
Experience working with of terminology and concepts of DB2 for z / OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases, including SQL proficiency
Experience with Computer Associates’ CA Gen workstation toolset for web server, online and batch procedures;
Experience with Computer Associates’ CA Gen Com Proxy service;
Experience with Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) web page development languages VB and J-script;
Experience with IBM Z-Server, CICS, JCL, and COBOL.
Experience with development and maintenance of Software systems dealing with complex financial business processes;
Preferred :
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio / .Net.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
Work as a systems and data analyst, providing subject matter expertise for applications dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented;
Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance on the modernization of existing systems from inception through integration, staging, and production environments;
Identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues through the use of troubleshooting tools and techniques as well as teamwork;
Work with team toward continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; collaborate with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation;
Work in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards;
Develop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies, and methodologies;
Produce end-state solution mockups based on analysis of modernization approach for applications and reports.
