JOB DESCRIPTION
The Veterinary Resource Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination and logistics of live animal and cadaver resources, building and maintaining relationships with community partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role also supports Animal Health (AH) course and rental operations by providing oversight of event logistics, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring seamless execution of programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Live Animal Coordination – Oversee the procurement, care, and compliance of live animals, ensuring adherence to regulatory and ethical standards while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Cadaver Management – Coordinate cadaver pick-up, tracking, inventory, and vendor communication to ensure proper availability and documentation.
- Community Partnership Management – Build and maintain relationships with community partners to secure live animal and cadaver resources, acting as a primary liaison.
- Regulatory Compliance & Oversight – Schedule and coordinate Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) meetings, monitor compliance, and ensure all required documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Course & Rental Coordination – Support Animal Health (AH) lab logistics, including setup, transportation, food & beverage (F&B), and rental coordination, ensuring seamless execution of courses and events.
