Job Description : The IT Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Key duties include configuring and troubleshooting network hardware and software, monitoring network performance, and ensuring network availability and security. The role also involves managing firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN connections, as well as providing technical support to users. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols and best practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with network management tools.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
Ensure network security by implementing appropriate measures.
Manage firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
Stay updated on the latest network technologies and best practices.
Qualifications :
8-10 years of network administration experience.
1-2 years of experience leading a team.
Bachelor’s degree or Professional certifications.
Solid understanding of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN) and security, including intrusion detection systems and data backup / recovery strategies.
Knowledge of Windows OS, Linux OS, networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
Familiarity with various operating systems, database management, and the ability to script in PowerShell.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills and the capacity to work well within a team.
