Title: PC/LAN Technician - Onsite
Description:
The PC/LAN technician role within Viva USA, Inc. involves collaborating with internal customers on a daily basis to resolve issues and serve as a liaison to other divisions. This position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Duties:
• Server Support: Troubleshoot server-related problems and implement potential solutions to maintain system reliability and availability.
• Desktop Support: Provide assistance with computer-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
• Network Support: Assist customers on the Viva USA, Inc. network, troubleshoot network issues, and implement potential solutions to ensure optimal network performance.
• Software Implementation: Install and configure PC software and peripherals, and implement software patches and security fixes to maintain system security and integrity.
• Project Assistance: Assist with assigned project tasks, including major deployments of hardware and software.
• Training and Development: Teach new staff members how to troubleshoot problems, setup and install network related hardware, software and other peripherals.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
• General working knowledge of infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
• Ticketing and Department operating procedures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products, including operating systems and Office.
• Knowledge of Google Suite.
• Computer hardware configuration and repair knowledge.
• Knowledge of Ethernet network topology to assist with troubleshooting network issues.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure industry standards and best practices.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Problem definition and alternative analysis skills.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows 10.
• Experience with Server 2008 and Server 2012 engineering.
• Experience with Backup solutions.
• Time Reporting.
• MS System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2.
• Minimum 4 years of current working experience in an IT field.
• Associate/Bachelor degree in a related field is preferred.
