What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Vivalon Cafe Cashier Volunteer position at Vivalon?
Vivalon's Active Aging Campus at 999 Third Street in San Rafael provides delicious meals, educational classes, multicultural gatherings, and information and referral services. Vivalon also offers special needs transportation, such as trips to medical appointments and grocery stores, as well as delivering meals for homebound clients. Vivalon is looking for dedicated, caring, and fun-loving volunteers!
We offer volunteer opportunities driving for the Meals on Wheels program and our CarePool program (where volunteers use their own cars to bring individuals to Drs. appointments or grocery shopping). We also have opportunities for outgoing volunteers to help in the Vivalon Cafe. Vivalon Cafe Volunteer in our new Healthy Aging Campus!
The Vivalon Cafe at the new Healthy Aging Campus, is looking for friendly volunteers who are interested in cashiering. You play an important role in making people feel welcome and engaged by interacting with members, staff, and guests that come in to enjoy a healthy meal! Join the fun and make new friends!
The Vivalon Caf volunteers on average serves our community over 1,000 meals a month. The Cafe is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 30 am to 1 45 pm. Each volunteer commits to at least one weekly shift from 11 00 am to 2 00 pm.
It's a fantastic way to engage with the community!
There are a variety of roles available to choose from.
Free lunch for volunteers after their shift.
