We currently have an opportunity for the Billing Manager position at our Corporate location.

 

Job Summary

The Billing Manager will assist our billing department and supervise all billing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health plan billing, claims reconciliation, and working with clearinghouse reporting and posting. Experience with Waystar, Availity, and NextGen systems is essential. As the Billing Manager, you will ensure the accuracy of invoices, resolve client billing issues, and manage a team of billing professionals.

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Oversee the creation of invoices and ensure all details are accurate and in compliance with company standards.
•    Verify and resolve discrepancies in billing, working directly with clients to address and resolve any billing issues.
•    Supervise and lead a team of billing staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate billing operations.
•    Design and implement new billing systems and processes to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy.
•    Ensure all billing operations are conducted in accordance with legal guidelines and financial regulations.
•    Prepare and generate detailed reports on billing activities for senior management, including billing performance and discrepancies.
•    Communicate and collaborate with clients, customer service, and sales departments to resolve billing issues and ensure client satisfaction.
•    Manage account balances and ensure timely payment collection from clients, escalating any overdue accounts when necessary.
•    Collaborate with other departments, such as finance and operations, to ensure billing accuracy and alignment with overall business objectives.
•    Perform regular account audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, legal standards, and financial regulations.
•    Monitor and analyze revenue streams, identifying any discrepancies and reporting them to senior management.
•    Reconcile claims data from health plans, ensuring accurate coding, billing, and compliance with payer requirements.
•    Manage rejections and denials from clearinghouses (Waystar, Availity), ensuring timely corrections and resubmissions of claims.
•    Oversee the posting of payments and adjustments, working within the NextGen system to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
•    Manage and oversee the daily operations of the billing department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
•    Coordinate and communicate with various departments, including customer service and sales, to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
•    Develop, implement, and maintain billing policies and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant billing practices.
•    Ensure all billing activities comply with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
•    Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues related to billing, ensuring timely resolutions.
•    Train and mentor staff in billing procedures and best practices, ensuring they have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
•    Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement in billing operations.
•    Resolve claims rejections, including reviewing claim details, correcting errors, and resubmitting claims through clearinghouses like Waystar and Availity.
•    Monitor and track all claims and payments through the NextGen system, ensuring timely posting and reporting.
