Operations Manager

Vivatides is an exciting start-up with amazing opportunities to develop next generation RNA therapeutics. We are seeking a well-organized and self-motivated manager of operation with a science background to join our Woburn site. The successful candidate will be responsible for operations including both biology and chemistry labs, maintenance, device and reagent purchasing, office and HR administration, and other assigned work. Additionally, the operation manager may perform laboratory work and provide technical support to team members if needed.

Primary Responsibilities

·      Manage daily lab operations and ensure compliance with lab safety protocols

·      Lab maintenance and repairs, including equipment calibration and servicing

·      Manage device and reagent inventory, including ordering and restocking

·      Office administration, including but not limited to scheduling, supply, budgeting 

·      HR administration, including but not limited to new employee onboarding and orientation, coordinating and communicating for payroll and benefits, routine operation 

·      Train new lab members on lab procedures and safety protocols

·      Communicate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services

·      Perform laboratory work and provide technical support to team members if needed

·      Keep accurate records of activities and expenses

·      Perform other assigned work 

Qualification

·      Bachelor's or master’s degree

·      Experience in operation and administration

·      Strong organizational and management skills

·      Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulations

·      Experience with lab equipment maintenance and repair

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively and prioritize tasks to thrive in a multi-disciplinary, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·      Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs 

·      Fluent in both English and Chinese
