Vive la Crêpe, established in 2009, brings delicious savory and sweet crêpes, made fresh to order, to New York City. Currently with three locations and two more on the way in 2025, we are seeking team members at all levels to join us as as we grow to New Jersey and beyond! The Crêpe Maker is responsible for preparing crêpes and a variety of beverages quickly, efficiently and accurately in front of our customers, while delivering exceptional customer service and managing the register.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment
- Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfactory experience
- Manage register throughout shift
- Handle cash transactions with customers using cash registers
- Accurately ring in products and collect various electronic payments
- Issue receipts, change, and help process refunds when applicable and approved
- Guide customer through menu; offer information and answer questions
- Make sales referrals and cross-sell products to enhance the customer’s experience
- Resolve customer complaints and involve management to assist as needed
- Communicate with management regarding any customer service-related concerns
- Restock applicable products for cash register and printer
- Maintain a clean and tidy work space, to DOH standards
- Culinary
- Prepare food for service (e.g. slicing vegetables, preparing sauces, etc)
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies at start and end of shift
- Cook crêpes in cooperation with the rest of the team
- Ensure food comes out quickly in a high-quality fashion
- Follow recipe and portion control guidelines
- Clean up station and take care of leftover product
- Comply with hygiene/sanitation regulations and safety standards
Essential Functions
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Polished personal presentation; grooming meets Company standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
- Available to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Can walk, stand, and/or bend continuously and for extended periods as required to perform essential job responsibility/functions. Must be able to climb stairs up and down throughout a shift.
- Withstand fluctuations in temperature within work environment, from high heat to below freezing
- Perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress with colleagues and customers
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment
Experience and Education
- At least 1-2 years of experience in fast-paced customer service. Food service preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or GED
- Food handler’s certification is a plus

Salary : $17 - $18
