Malteurop North America is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic R&D Intern to join our Research and Innovation team for a 12-week summer internship starting June 2, 2025. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry experts, gaining hands-on experience in developing and applying new products and new analysis, while learning the fundamentals of Malting and brewing science.
Responsibilities :
- Research in Malting and Brewing :
Conduct research that aligns with the broader objectives of the Malteurop R&D team to enhance malt quality and brewing performance.
Assist in the development of professional formulated craft brewing recipes, including testing and adjustments.
Support the micro-pilot malting process for various projects
Learn the basics of brewing beer and conduct analytical testing to assess beer quality, including taste and sensory analysis. This includes training on specialized equipment and interpreting results.
Learn to operate and maintain common industry lab equipment such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and water baths.
