What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Vivian Vazquez?
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Medical Receptionist with healthcare experience to join our team. This role requires someone who is flexible with their shift schedule and able to adapt to occasional changes in hours, such as working 9 am to 6 pm one day and 1 pm to 10 pm the next, depending on patient scheduling needs. While the primary location is in Brea, occasional coverage at our Santa Ana location may be required. If you are comfortable with this flexibility, we’d love to have you as part of our team!
What you get to do:
- Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments for services.
- Collect demographic and insurance information from patients, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm appointment dates and times with patients and provide guidance on what to expect during their procedure.
- Secure preauthorization from insurance companies when needed, ensuring all insurance and billing details are current.
- Follow up with patients post-procedure to ensure timely delivery of radiology reports, forwarding them promptly to the referring physician.
- Perform general receptionist duties, including greeting patients, handling messages, and managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Assist with vendor and salesperson interactions as needed.
- Support general office tasks, filing, and other administrative duties as assigned, including marketing and sales support.
What we are looking for:
- Must have previous healthcare experience.
- Must be flexible with shifts and available to work late when required.
- Ability to work in both Brea and Santa Ana locations as needed.
- Must be bilingual English and Spanish
