Job Description:
The Wedding & Events Sales Consultant is responsible for driving sales and providing exceptional customer service to customers planning weddings and events. This role involves understanding client needs, offering inspiration and recommendations, and working closely with our events team to ensure seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clients with creative floral inspiration and thoughtful recommendations during consultations.
- Demonstrate patience and attention to detail.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge as well as a familiarity of product offerings and industry trends.
- Establish and nurture relationships with past clients and potential customers to facilitate sales.
- Find potential customers through networking, cold calling, and industry research to increase sales.
- Complete administrative tasks, such as processing and recording sales, as needed.
- Exhibit self-motivation for continuous learning and creative development.
- Demonstrate a high energy, enthusiastic communication style in person, by phone, and by email.
- Consistently demonstrate professional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills in person, by phone, and by email
- Perform other tasks as assigned, within the scope of design and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two to three years of experience in floral design and customer service
- Knowledge of fresh floral product and design techniques
- Innovative and passionate about flowers, design, and working with people.
- Experience in production of wedding and events
Requirements:
- One to two years of experience in a relevant area of sales or marketing.
- Experience in developing leads and researching potential clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations.
- Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people daily.
- Familiarity with relevant software, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to contact customers, complete sales and manage other tasks independently.
- Time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and close sales in a timely manner.
- Willingness to adapt and implement new marketing strategies and sales methods.
- Quick thinking to provide creative solutions that address customers' needs and concerns.
