Monday -Thursday ( 10 hour shifts during the day)
Summary of Position:
This Technician is responsible for the daily functions of the shipping department. The primary responsibility is to pull and pack orders in a timely fashion and ensure that the packages meet the quality standards of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain SQF food safety and quality systems and report any concerns to Management.
· Shipping & Receiving of products.
· Working knowledge of all department functions.
· FIFO procedures for picking orders.
· Document non-conformances & deviations followed by corrective/preventive action reports as necessary.
· Review orders that are picked and packed and sign off appropriately.
· Good documentation practices.
· Master sanitation – ensure complete and documented.
· Accurately weighing out dry ice for packing.
· Ensure all checks, tasks, calibrations are documented accurately on the appropriate records.
· Assist with inventory management.
· Assist other departments as directed by Supervisor.
· Freezer organization
Job Specifications:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Able to lift/carry up to 70 pounds repeatedly
· Ability to respond with a high sense of urgency
· Excellent time management and flexibility
· Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time
· Able to work in a cold environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
