Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and certified Program Manager to lead complex projects involving cross-functional teams in the fields of data processing, information management, and telecommunications systems. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations across multiple projects and locations, ensuring effective coordination of contract support activities. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage deliverables, stakeholders, and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in program and contract management within the public and/or private IT sectors.
Job responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams engaged in analysis, design, integration, testing, documentation, data conversion, system extension, and implementation of automated IT and/or telecommunications systems.
- Oversee day-to-day contract support operations, potentially across multiple projects and geographically dispersed teams.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate all planning and production activities related to contract support.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract management and performance oversight.
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions aligned with project goals and client expectations.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to manage stakeholder interactions and reporting.
- Adapt and refine the corporate management structure as needed to support effective contract execution.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a Project or Program Management Certification such as PMP or equivalent (from PMI, DAU, VA, or accredited universities).
- Substitutes may be considered with documented equivalency (training, degrees, or relevant experience).
- Minimum 5 years of direct program management experience.
- Minimum 10 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility in the IT or consulting sectors.
- Familiarity with the IT acquisition process and its milestones.
- Experience analyzing source documentation and contributing to acquisition documents.
- Bachelor’s degree required (especially for Key Personnel roles).
