Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven VP of Manufacturing Operations to oversee all aspects of facility management and production operations. This leadership role requires a strategic mindset, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing Operations Management:
- Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient production schedules, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead and manage compounding processes for finished products, ensuring accuracy and consistency in batch production.
- Optimize production workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and reduce costs.
- Facility Management:
- Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of manufacturing facilities, utilities, and equipment.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Work closely with Quality Control and Regulatory teams to maintain compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and other relevant standards.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing and facility operations.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including compounding technicians and facility staff.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to ensure staff proficiency in production processes and safety protocols.
- Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Not required but a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemistry, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations or project management within the cosmetics, personal care, or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of GMP and industry standards, with a willingness to learn new regulations from FDA and other bodies.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in setting up and using ERP systems such as Batchmaster, SAP, or other related software.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in scaling manufacturing operations.
- Strong project management skills.
Compensation:
- Annual bonus (up to 10% of salary)
