Job Overview
VMC GROUP (Via Meridiana Company, LLC) is a construction company specialized in commercial and healthcare construction. VMC provides a variety of construction capabilities, such as general construction (lump sum bid), construction management at risk (CMAR), and in-house design and design-build teams. Our company provides service to our clients located in the Chicago Tri-State area (Northeast Illinois, Northwest Indiana, and Southeast Wisconsin).

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and business development, with a keen ability to identify new opportunities and build lasting relationships with clients. You will play a crucial role in shaping our strategic initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of projects that align with our business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth and expand market reach.
  • Identify potential clients and engage in proactive outreach to establish relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insights to inform strategic planning efforts.
  • Maintain relationships with current clients and act as an ambassador at all industry events.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related fields.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent strategic planning capabilities with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience in Construction Management, Commercial Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, and strategic planning
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and analysis skills
  • Prior experience in customer relationship management with a construction company
  • Established relationships within the commercial construction and healthcare construction industry a plus.
